Godfrey was born on May 15, 1917 and passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Godfrey was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana at the time of his passing. He was educated in the St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools. He joined the United States Army in 1941 and was sent to Europe during WWII. He was married to Doris. Family and friends are invited to his Homegoing Celebration on Saturday September 17 2016 at Israel Baptist Church 2826 Jackson Ave. NOLA for 10:00 A.M. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Rev. Malcolm Bacchus officiating. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery Wallace LA.
