Goldie Fleishman

Goldie is a dear friend of the Steuer family, (Bertha, Alfred,
Gloria and Ira.) Our friendship began while living in Jeffrey Manor.
Goldie would welcome us into her home and she always
kept the freshest sweetest bowls of in season fruit on hand.
She insisted that we should enjoy the fruit with her. We will
love you and miss you always.

My Goldie. That's what I called her after she moved to Lieberman. I'd call her to chat, she'd answer the phone, and I'd say, "Is this my Goldie?" She got such a kick out of me calling her that. I'm Janice and Ira's friend in California, and I only knew Goldie from her visits here. But I felt close to her, and she was a comfort to me when my mother died. Goldie was my mentor for the past 36 years since the first day we met at the American Dietetic Association when she was working for a Temp Agency. I will sincerely miss our conversations of not just being alive, but living life to the fullest. She will always be with me in my heart.
