Here it is, over 5 years after Goldye’s passing, and I’m still remembering the ways she touched my heart. Goldye was a remarkable, faithful and fiercely independent woman who lived a Christ centered life. I have many fond memories of her, and share her story with my friends in Christ at my current church.

Goldye was a lovely lady with a beautiful smile, a wonderful sense of humor, and a deep abiding Faith in the Lord. She was an integral part of our congregation for many years and we loved spending time with her. She was blessed with family and friends, and everyone who ever met her was charmed by her friendliness. Oh the stories she told us about growing up and living through so much history!
