Gordon Browning

My sympathy to you and your family, Patricia. A close friend in Rotary, Gordon always brightened my day at our Friday meetings with his quick wit and political insights. I will miss him dearly, as will all his friends in the Chula Vista Rotary Club.

Gordon was one of the wisest men I ever had the privilege of knowing. His friendship and mentoring in my young life was a blessing. Even when we disagreed on politics, his Kentucky charm would always bring me back to reality. More than anything, I am thankful for his belief in me in my younger years when I really needed a sounding board who knew how to keep the important things of life in perspective. Rest in peace Gordon.... you truly made a difference in my life. Take care, Jim

After my junior year at Miami University, Uncle Gordon contacted me and offered me a gift of a lifetime. He offered me plane tickets (my first flight) and a chance to live with his family in exchange for helping in his dental practice and occasional baby sitting.
