Gordon Buys

We, Nelle and Bill Evenhouse, send our condolences and love to Florine and family. We shared many years with them in Nigeria, including numerous flights when Gord would land at the Wukari airport to pick us up or return us home. He was a trusted pilot and often announced his arrival in Wukari by a dramatic swoop over our home compound, allowing us to meet him minutes before his landing. Condolences to the Buys family . I originally met Gord in the lobby of the Calvin Library in the early 90's where he had a table promoting short-term missions for CRC . He was easy to talk to and he encouraged me to consider it, and I did. And then shortly later I signed up for a short-term summer mission in the Philippines . Actually I didn't know I would be in the Philippines, I just signed up to be sent and it turned out to be the Philippines. Which was a great experience- very spiritually...
