age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He was born in Cleveland, OH on November 5, 1940 and was a 1959 graduate of John Adams High School in Cleveland. He was a chiropractor in Old Brooklyn, OH from 1969 until his retirement in 2013. He worked as a Cleveland fireman while attending college full time to become a chiropractor, yet still found time to be a terrific leader of a growing family. He was later a volunteer fireman in Avon Lake, OH. He was a passionate, though perennially unsuccessful, hunter. His hunting trips were chiefly valued for the time spent with his family and friends in God's creation. He loved to read and was always happy to share his books (and his book reviews) with other avid readers. He was a passionate supporter of all veterans' causes and was proud to be a social member of the North Ridgeville VFW Post 9871. He never met a person who did not think highly of him. He was always quick to offer a genuine compliment to anyone he encountered and his kind spirit put everyone at ease in his presence. He was happiest spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ann; children Douglas (Bambi), Lee (Tami) Eric (Katy), Chris (Amy), Michele Feather (Bill) and Scott (Mia); seven grandchildren; sister Renee Kamenski (Joseph); brother Norman (LaVica); and his faithful dog, Arlo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Norman W. Charboneau and Jean (nee Crane) Charboneau, and his sister Norma Jean Vyskocil (Daniel). Memorial Service Saturday, August 17, at 4:00 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS RD., where friends may call SATURDAY 1:00 P.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Private interment.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Carol Ann and all the family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you with Gordon's homegoing. He is a great physician and encouragement to all of his fellow Chiropractor's, including me. We have known each other for nearly forty years. We have got together only a few times but always wished each other's service to our patients to be excellent. May our great Lord show His love and peace with you all right now and always. Gordon is a genuine servant.

Gordon was a long time neighborhood friend on fuller ave. Spent many hours with him and his family at their home on fuller. My parents often said I spent more time over their house than I did at mine.Gordon was a very good and kind person as was the whole family.

Carol Ann and family I am writing on behalf of my mom Ethel Ward. Mom worked with doc for many years and spent alot of time together outside of work. He was a great man all around. He was very special to our family throughout the years. If my mom could write this herself she would. We are so sorry for your loss. Doc will always be remembered. RIP doc we will miss you.

Carol Ann and the Charboneau family, Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. Gordon was not the best hunter, but was a good man.

May Gordon be in heaven a half an hour before the devil knows he is gone

I was a patient of Dr. Charboneau back in the 1980's and early 1990's. He took exceptionally great care of me while I was under his chiropractic manipulation. Needless to say Dr. Charboneau was heaven sent at the time of my discomfort that I can honestly say even to this day that he was one of my BEST doctors a person could ever need for relief of pain without any toxic meditation. Dr. Charboneau you will be truly missed and to your loving family and you may God's Peace and...
