Not sure what to say?

It's been two years since Gordon left us, and six months ago we lost Florence, his beloved roommate (as they playfully called each other) for 70 years. They were a true power couple in their community and church. as Gordonwith Florence's devoted supportwas in the corporate world. I met Gordon in 1958, when he was on assignment to Sohio Research from Lima Chemical. Over the years, I came to know and respect his excellence as an engineer, manager and mentorand appreciate his humility and wry...

Anne and I were sad to hear of Gordon's passing. What a wonderful thing it was for Gordon to live so long and have all the experiences that he had in this world. He will be missed by all who knew him, but he is only a thought away. Florence, you and Gordon were a team. I always think of you and him together. Ellen, Lorraine, and Linda, your pop was special. Enjoy the memories together, and share them with others so that they too can enjoy Gordon's life. May God bless all of you!

To Florence and all of Gorden's family: I was saddened to hear of Gorden's death. A verse in the New Testament says, "It is required of a servant that he be found faithful" (1 Cor 4:2). When I think of Gorden Cross, the word "faithful comes to mind. He was faithful to his wife, to his family, to his friends, to his church, to his God. As a former pastor at Federated Church it was my privilege to know and work with this good and faithful man.

I was able to see the twinkles in both Florence and Gordon's eyes when the "love Bug" bit them. I was so honored to be asked to sing at their wedding. I felt so very close to both of them and their love and warmth was and is very special to me and Tom.too. They were so supportive of me and my singing and I always appreciated having such loyal fans. Their many years of devotion to each other is a testimony to their character and quite an inspiration to us. In fact Gordon's life itself was...

Many fond memories of this exemplary man, husband and father. Sharing visits at Lake Erie, Allen Park, Lima and Chagrin Falls--always fun when Gordon was there. Condolences to all.--Paul and Carol Van Ausdal

My heart goes out to all of the family and loved ones. Gordon was a treasure and I am so glad that I knew him. I was there when he married Florence. I actually had a crush on him (I was about 7). I know how loved and esteemed he was. My prayers are with you all. God bless! Diane VanAusdal Luttrell.

The loss of a beautiful soul. Sending our deepest sympathy and love. Peace, Kaarin and Isaac

Starting from a very young age, and lasting throughout my lifetime, Uncle Gordon has been an admired model for me. His thoughtfulness, his humor and his restraint clearly led him to successes in life that were well-deserved. We will miss him very much.
