I was lucky enough to have Mr. Cruickshank as my history teacher at Central Tech in 1966. He was a wonderful teacher and always encouraged me to pursue my dreams of being a nurse. He always made history class interesting. Any student who had him was lucky to have such a dedicated teacher. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your families.

My sincerest sympathy to the entire Cruickshank family. He was my 10th grade social studies teacher at Central Tech and I will always remember his kindness and his warmth. May all your cherished memories bring you comfort.

Some 40 odd years ago, we met Gordon. He & Shirley came to our home so that Gordon could see the shutters in our bathroom. Shirley liked them and wanted Gord's opinion. They stayed for coffee. I had made lemon cake and used whiskey sour mix, as I did not have lemons. Gordon took a bite of the cake, and with no regard to anyone's feelings, simply stated that this was the worst cake he ever ate! So that's my first first impression of him.
