Not sure what to say?

I was so saddened to hear of Gordon and Marie's accident. I want to express my love and condolences to Donna and the Deakin family. Marie became my friend as we worked together in the temple. It is true they were both known for their friendliness and smiles. It was exciting to Marie and I to discover that we were almost related. She gave us a picture that they took of the Jordan River Temple at the end of a rainbow. I know they have found that together now.

Diana and myself send our Best Wishes and feel for your sorrow. It should be comforting to know that Gordon & Marie had a long and prosperous life, and contributed greatly to the lives of others.

Grandma and Grandpa Deakin weren't just that, but also my friend. They've always been there for me through so much. The words of wisdom and encouraging thoughts they always shared will remain with me forever! They're just how they would like to be... together forever! They stood for so much and helped so many. A life-long memory, they will always be my friend.

In grandma's last letter she talked about how important life really is and how short it can be. She said in the...

To the Deakin family: I would like to add my special memory of Gordon and Marie.

On the day that we received the news of our son, Jon's death in the missionfield, Gordon and Marie came to our home with a casserole. They arrived just a few hours after we had been informed. I think Marie must have gone straight to her kitchen to prepare food for our family as soon as she heard the news.

We haven't forgotten their kind act of service to our family and appreciate their...

We were really touched to see so many people at your parents funeral, and thought of the many lives they have touched. We thought of the great joy they would feel as they entered the next life, and were changed, together, to look as they did in the prime of their lives. Thanks to all of you for your friendship through the years and the positive influence you have had on our lives.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. I remember your wonderful parents for their love and kindness and their sweet love for each other. I especailly remember Gordon we called him whistler, he painted and wallpapered our kitchen he whistled the whole time, he was so pleasant and happy. May God pour out his sweet spirit and comfort your family at this difficult time.

To Donna and the rest of your family,
We were so saddened at the news. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this time.
Memories rush back of our time in Salt Lake with all of you for Tracie and Scott's sealing and your house was too full to accomadate us, so we had the privilidge of staying with your dear folks. They drove us all over the place showing us the Jordan River Temple and all the sights they loved. Then, waking up to the smells of bacon cooking and sweet...

We send our love and deepest sympathy. We have many fond memories of your dear family.
Your in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
Our Love, and Sincere Sympathy,
The Jack McKee Family

Both Gordon and Marie will be with us every day in our hearts; Gordon hammering, painting and building something new, beautiful, and fun for all their family and friends to use, Marie sewing, baking, and creating something beautiful and delicious to make everyone feel extra special. We love them both and they have a very special place in our hearts.
