Not sure what to say?

Bill and I have such fond memories of Gordon and Sally. We lived across the street on Alameda for 33 years. They were so funny and generous and delightful. We miss Sally's delicious chocolate crinkle cookies and her wonderful sense of humor. Sally and I also shared a March 15th birthday, I think along with her mom. Always think of the time Elliot & I caught a ride home from a former neighbors' party. Elliot was under 10, maybe 7 or 8. Gordon said, "Hold on Elliot. I'm going to drive like the...

The family and I sure miss Gordon. And miss Sally too. ❤

Bill and I are so sorry to learn about Gordon leaving us. We lived across the street from Gordon & Sally for 30 some years. Loved them both so much. Two of the most delightful people we ever knew. Was just thinking about a time Elliot and I rode home with them from another neighbors' party in Mt. Tabor. Elliot was little, well under ten, and Gordon said, "Hold on Elliot. I'm going to drive like the wind." Feel so honored to have known them and call them our good friends. Love to you all.

Hi there, my name is Janie Joyce (Fyfe). My dad, Robert D. Fyfe, was your dad's cousin. I thought you might want to know that he also recently passed away (June 8), six months shy of his 90th birthday. I have memories of your mom and dad coming to visit us in the Bay Area, and on at least one occasion, us visiting your family in Portland when I was very young. Your parents were always kind and gracious. I especially remember your grandparents, Emma and Bill. Bill was my grandfather, Dave's,...

Im sad for Jennifer and the entire family. I still live in the old neighborhood. Lived here all my life. As people walk, run, bicycle and stroll our wide street, Sally and Gordon started that fad by walking hand in hand. I used to see Kathy walking just as determined and dedicated as her mom walked. But Gordon and Sally walked rather leisurely. You could tell they adored each other. Gordon was always kind as I walked by the old houses. I even recall the big move... next door. My sincere...

"Boo!" I'm here and hope you are saying it back to me. THANK YOU... thank you for letting me spend the night with you and grandma, I know watching the "Love Boat" had to be really fun for you. Thank you for the walks to the public stairs and leaf throwing. Thank you for taking me to Winchell's and sitting with me (you ate a maple bar, me a cherry doughnut). Thank you for taking me with you to the car wash, even when your car didn't need washing but took me because I enjoyed it. Thank...

Sad that I won't be able to visit with Gordon again. He was always such a kind and gentle person and always the perfect gentleman, husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife Sally (and their children) graciously and lovingly welcomed me into the family when I met and married Sally's brother Derek Akerson. Lost Sally in 2002, Derek in 2018, and now Gordon. Hope they're all having fun together in Heaven.
