Not sure what to say?

A Year has gone by since you walked through the gates of heaven, we know God received you with open arms, how selfish we are to want our loved ones here with us, and you are among the ones we loved the most. Time may ease the loneliness, however you will never be forgotten, and you will be forever missed by all of us who love you. You would be so proud of Terri, she is a real trooper. I know she has her moments, but she shows more courage than I am sure I would. We know you continue to watch...

Dad,

I can't believe it has already been a year. I wish I could talk to you and ask you about heaven. Is it as wonderful as they say? How does it feel living with the Lord and seeing your parents and brother again? I hope and pray you are having a fantastic time up there. You sure earned it......

We all love and miss you so much and always will. Mom is doing such a great job holding down the fort. You would be so proud. She even gets out and shovels the driveway...

Tomorrow it will be a year since this world lost Gordy Ike and in a way, it went real fast. One thing that hasn't gone fast is the pain that all of Gordy's loved ones feel. That pain will not leave. John and Gordy were and always will be best friends. Terry and Gordy will always be that couple only people dream of being. I thank God I grew up where I did. In 3 States, the street of Illinois in the city of Wyoming in the State of Michigan. You'd think that would be special enough, but...

First off, I want to thank my mother for falling in love with Gordon E. Ike and marrying him. Because if she didn't, I would not have the best big brother or the best two big sisters in the world.

I always remember Dad coming home from work, thermos in one hand and a lunchbox in the other, his t-shirt with salt stains around his neck. I'm in the garage working on my mini bike and he would say with the biggest smile on his face, "How you doing, John?" I said, "Dad I can't figure...

One of the greatest things about Gordon Ike was the love for his wife and his children. He showed it daily with his work ethic, his quiet demeaner, and his easy smile.

One of my greatest memories was about six years ago. My water pipes had frozen, it was about 30 below wind chill and a blizzard. I needed to wrap insulation around my pipe that leads into my house with a built up cover over it, so of course I called the one person in the world who could tell me how to do this,...

God's Garden by unknown

God looked around his garden,
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
and lifted you to rest;
God's garden must be beautiful
he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain;
He knew you would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
and hills were hard to climb

DAD,

WE ALL MISSED YOU SO MUCH THIS CHRISTMAS. EVERYTIME I TURNED AROUND I SOME HOW EXPECTED YOU TO BE THERE EATING MY BUNBARS AND LAUGHING BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GET CAUGHT. IT WAS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT YOU!!

NATHAN KEPT ASKING ABOUT YOU AND WONDERING IF YOU WERE ALL ALONE UP IN HEAVEN. I TOLD HIM YOU WERE HAVING THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER WITH THE LORD. HE SEEMED TO THINK THAT WAS OKEY, AS LONG AS YOU WERE HAPPY.

MOM DID AN AMAZING JOB KEEPING IT TOGETHER. I...
