Not sure what to say?

Gordon was so friendly and welcoming. Condolences to his family.

Gordon was kind and generous with his knowledge of dahlias. he helped me select many beautiful waterlily dahlias - my favorite. Rest in peace my friend.

Gordon was my first cousin on my mom´s side. I still tell stories about his mom and dad. I remember going to Pier Park swimming , playing softball, watching Gordon playing tennis, race car time trials etc. Gordon played tennis at Linfield College. He got my mom interested in Dahlias and my brother,Matt, and I continue the tradition. RIP

Gordy was my First cousin on my mom's side of the family. I have several fond memories of him. I'm so sorry for your loss Christine. You are all in my thoughts and prayers :) Calli Conway (Linda Scott's Daughter)

Gordon helped me with my very first basket arrangement, and encouraged me to try designs as well. He said to me "get your fully double blooms staged first, then your arrangements." After the dahlia shows, we would walk through the design and basket section. He was delighted to show me his entries, and I in learning from him. I was always in `awe´ and so intrigued by his creative designs. Another time Gordon stopped by our house to see our garden . I had several dahlias that were marked...

Gordon was a delight to have at Sogetsu Ikebana shows and in classes. His unique style was inspirational. I'm so glad I was a fellow student.

I will surely miss Gordon. His wealth of knowledge on all dahlias was phenomenal but I will always remember the direction and assistance he gave me over the years doing dahlia arrangements. Rest in peace dear Gordon.

Gordon was a valued student of sensei Keiko Kodachi, Sogetsu School of Ikebana Portland Chapter, for a number of years and always fascinated his fellow students with his astounding creative arrangements and his in-depth knowledge of flowers in general and of dahlias in particular. My condolence to his family and friends in the Portland Dahlia Society for the loss of this kind, creative and generous individual. We will treasure his memory.

Gordon was actually the judge of my very first dahlia entries. Dreadful they were and I was his clerk. But Gordon did not say anything negative about them and offered comments that were helpful for future shows. Thank you, Gordon! Gordon was the NW dahlia PREMIER Arrangements Exhibitor. He exhibited at every South Sound DS show. I loved asking him to share his comments on each Arrangements entry at shows we were both attended. Someone said earlier that Gordon had an encyclopedia...
