Not sure what to say?

Your father was buried this week Gordie. Your grandmother turned 101 and still enjoys a pleasant chat. Reading this Guest Book almost everyone mentions your easy smile. That brought comfort to so many people. What a wonderful tribute to your life. We wish you had stayed around longer. You are missed.

My heart is absolutely broken. I just found out today. My god I can't believe it. It feels like I've lost another brother. Gordie and I were room mates at VTC. I will never forget and always treasure the hours that we played music, talked and laughed together. How he could make us all laugh with his great stories. I'm talking about gut aching tears running down your face laughter. He had such an amazing ability to tell a story. Everybody just hung on every word. I'll never forget a...

I would like to offer my sympathies as well, albeit late as I only learned recently of Cpt. Lewis' passing; I was one of (then) Lt. Lewis' tank platoon members with C-1-172 in Morrisville. Even as a newly commissioned Officer, to me he seemed to be very comfortable interacting with the Enlisted soldiers, and that in itself is likely why so many of us Troops respected him for his ability to engage us both in casual conversation as well as to genuinely take our concerns into...

Well I really wanted to tell the Lewis family that I am sorry for your loss. But when you are talking about a great guy like Gordy was , I think that we have all lost in a way.He was one of our true hero's for sure and will be missed greatly.

Gordie and I graduated from VTC together from the civil class '94. I was deeply saddened when one of our classmates gave me this news yesterday 2/22/2009. Gordie and I crossed paths after our graduation when he worked for D-H.

Gordie and I had several talks/debates about his Detroit Red Wings and my Montreal Canadiens when we were at VTC.

My sincere sympathy goes out to his entire family.

Several of the guest book entries talk about Gordie's smile and they are right...

To the Lewis Family: I am sorry for your lose. May god bless you and guide you through this difficult time.

Carrie & daughters,
Although we have never met, we know that you are new neighbors. We wish to express our sadness and sympathy to you at this time. Our prayers are with you from Jerry & Rebecca at 70 Blackberry Circle.

To the Lewis Family,
Just want you all to know that I have been thinking about all of you everyday since you lost Gordie. I know exactly how you are feeling having lost my brother who was very special to me. I don't have any words that can take away the pain I wish I did.

If there is anything I can do please let me know.

Lynn, Lucille, and Family

I, as so many others were shocked of the news of Gordie’s passing. It brought back memories of not so long ago with my Nephew, Scott Patterson. Ironically the two were the best of friends as youngsters growing up.
I would like to share a story many years ago. Scott was driving on the back side of the river with Gordie as his passenger. This was the normal back then. I had just come up over the river bank from fishing and a vehicle was coming towards me. I...
