Am about to drop into my spa bath listening to one of many albums Gordon produced. His music always smoothed my soul. Dear Gordon, you were an inspirational singer songwriter & I´ll remember you until my last days on this earth. Your music & lyrics will live on forever in time. May you rest in peace dear man. You will be missed.

I grew up listening to Gordon Lightfoot from the time I was in elementary school. I saw him in Kingston and in Napanee. He did songs such as Did She Mention My Name, Ribbon Of Darkness, and Big Steel Rail. Now, he's home Paradise where he can sing and rejoice with all the angels. And he did need a "Big Steel Rail" to carry him home to Heaven. The Lord carried him home.

To Gordon Lightfoot, My father just told me about your passing. "The Wreck Of The [Edmund Fitzgerald]" came out when he was in college. I'm glad I got the chance to listen to it. I bet you're hanging out with all the other singers in Heaven. Love you. From, Tony Spirito (Elizabeth, New Jersey).

Gordon was one of those artists who was one of a kind, to say the least. Saw him in concert about half a dozen times and met him twice and chatted. I have been so fond of his great music since I first heard him in 1972 or thereabouts. A soulful genius loved by so many. I miss him so much now, and I`m ever so grateful to have his songs in my heart to help me call on the memory of him. Thank you, Gordon and bye for now.
