From paper crowns to chocolate chip cookies, Mr Mays always knew how to make all of us in Dalton laugh. I looked forward to coming to work on Thursdays because I knew Mr. Mays would make me smile and entertain staff with stories of travel to how to fix anything. I am thankful for getting to know him and he will forever be remembered fondly. God bless you. With sincerest sympathy and also a prayerful heart,

It was an honor and pleasure to be one of his oncology nurses. He had such a
joy for life and love for his family during his illness, I can only imagine what a wonderful person he must have been when he felt good. God bless you all. He will be missed.

Mr. Mays was a part of the Dalton family. He knew our schedules, celebrations, sorrows and triumphs. Although many of us could not bring ourselves to call him Eddie, he was a familiar, welcome and loved friend and family member. His wit (both sharp and (hmmm)), will truly be missed by all of us. Thank you for sharing us with him, thank you most of all for being there for him no matter what, no matter how hard it was. Both your courage and his humbles me. kit

Nobody had more fun at a B&B meeting than Eddie Mays. It was our good fortune to have called him a friend.
