Not sure what to say?

Surprised and saddened by the news of the passing of a good friend , wishing the family great strength !

Wow just heard of Gord's passing from another old friend in Winnipeg Doug Johnston, who is now a lawyer. I grew up with Gordon and then went to school with him at Glenlawn High School. Even though we sometimes wrestled against each other in the Olympic style wrestling program at Glenlawn ; we always got along so well. At Glenlawn Gordon was friends with everyone except bullies. Way before it became right to oppose bullies Gordon was doing that in the halls of Glenlawn Collegiate. I feel...

Gordon will always be remembered as one of the Guys we grew up with. Our prayers are with Anne and the Children.
Sincerely Bernice and Gordon Lawrie

We were lucky that Gordon and family were a part of our life and he will be sadly missed. God Bless you Gordon

I will always remember Gordon as a wonderful teacher of children and as a friend. I am grateful for my association with him. I know he will be missed by many, but the way he lived his life will help all who loved him remember him and be grateful they were privileged to know him.

I fondly remember my time with Gord & Anne at West Hawk Lake. I was the outsider in the group, but Gord with his ineffable smile and his friends from St. Vital quickly took me in, and the friendships with all have lasted these many years. Do some of you remember helping me celebrate my 21st birthday?? Gord and Anne were both there. Wonderful memories I'm glad to have shared with a wonderful friend. Rest in peace my friend.

In addition to all of his community service, Gordon will be missed for his smile, kindness, and sense of humor. He will be remembered as an enduring advocate and volunteer for open space in Broomfield, and will be greatly missed by the community.

As kids we were always excited for our shared family vacations with the McKellars because it meant we would be witness to Gordie's wild antics. Gordie included the kids in fun times no matter how young we were and he was always looking for something exciting in moments that could have been dull for us kids. Perhaps not the most talented singer, but will be remembered for his legendary rendition of "The Chicken Song"- complete with music video filmed in Sandy Hook MB. We will always remember...

As I reflect on my time with Gordon I realize how conformable and confident he was to try new things. He pushed me and others to do the same. Doing different activities at different places and meeting different people. He was never afraid. He will be missed.
