Not sure what to say?

Gordon was my friend, basketball teammate, Flower Hill Games competitor and I was his Games chancellor, as well as my mentor and fellow attorney at law. His photo will always be in front of me in my law office and his memory will always be in front of my consciousness and in my heart. I knew Leueen and the kids for years when we lived in close proximity and I am sure they are all well and living happy, successful lives as he would have most wanted.

While Gordon has been gone now for three years, he has never and will never be absent from my thoughts. Our time together, discussing law, discussing basketball and discussing life are parts of me which shall remain indelible. His memory has been a great blessing in my life, as was the life which he shared with me.

I think of my friend every day. He was a great presence in my life and his memory serves as a blessing. Time flows in one direction only but as long as I can remember anything, Gordon will be beside me, playing b-ball in the playground, watching sports while commenting on the current events of the time, discussing abstract legal principles (the Speluncean Explorers was one of his favorites,) sharing laughs and life's experiences . . . the vigor and intellectual integrity which animated his...

From the moment I was informed about Gordon's illness which turned out to be his last, to today I have never gone very long without thinking so very fondly of him and of our strong and close friendship. I remain unable to conceive of a world in which he was not a vital part. I miss him terribly and the old saying is quite true - his memory shall forever be a blessing to me and to all who knew and loved him. Geoff Chanin

My dear dear old friend, we spent countless hours playing basketball, competing in the Flower Hill games, discussing law, politics, sports and solving the problems of the world. I miss him greatly and he will always live on in my spirit as long as I live. His friendship was truly a precious blessing to me and I know that he will be always remembered and his memory cherished by those who knew and loved him. Geoff Chanin

Please except my deepest sympathies as the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of God, family and friends.

Rest in peace Gordon, you were a special person.

I tried two or three cases against Gordon when he served as an ACC two of which went to verdict. He was a consummate gentleman and devoted advocate for the City of New York. He was gracious in defeat and we always greeted one another warmly in the courthouse.
May his memory be for a blessing always. Rest In Peace Gordon.
