Gordon R. Miller, M.D. Age 85 Dr. Miller passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a battle with cancer. What an amazing life he had. And the lives of those he touched were so much better because of him. Gordon ("Boopsie" to his family) awoke every morning determined to see and do...

Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Miller family. I was his youngest patient in 1965 till he past me to Dr. Villani. I became his longest continuous patient. We develop a long friendship. He was always smiling. Rest In Peace good doctor.

Remember Gordie at all of the Appelrouth family celebrations. A wonderful man. My condolences to all. Kevin C Glennon, Hartford, CT

I met Gordon when I was a little girl of four while he was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany. It had been hard for him to serve in Germany of all places. My parents had adopted hin back then as he once put it. As a child he stood for a whole new world for me. To me he was "Onkel Gordon" and he always will be. He was the most generous and original person and I miss him dearly. My deepest sympathy to all who loved him.

Gordon's zest and love of life and people was infectious. His smile lit up any room. His love of people was so genuine. Every single time I saw him was a gift to me.
I will remember him dancing on the floor at La Gorce where his dance partner, obviously a ballerina at some point, placed her heel on his shoulder while they continued to dance. I will remember his locker room jokes and I will remember HIM telling ME about my family's Miami history.
Godspeed Gordon. It was...

Gordon Miller's energy and love and zest for life was such a gift to everyone who met him. His smile said it all and you could not help but be happy when you were around him.
He left a legacy of love and fun for life. I will remember him dancing on the La Gorce dance floor, the locker room jokes and HIM telling ME about the history of my family in Miami.
It was such an honor to get to know him. Godspeed Gordon.

Gordy was a great guy. We have been friends for 49 years since I was a resident at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and he taught me ocuplastic surgery. May his memory be for a blessing.

Gordy was that person who always walked across the room to greet you with a hug. Even if you hadn’t seen each other for a month or a year he made it an event.
However, thinking back, it seemed he enjoyed hugging my wife, Ileana, much more than me.

Gordie was first and foremost a friend, also my doctor. He lived an extraordinary life and will be so missed. I know my husband Ed was there waiting for him to continue their devilish ways and have fun forever!

Sad to hear of Dr Miller's passing. I was a patient since the 70's. He saved my eye as a child. What a tremendous personality. He will be missed.
