I will always have fond memories of Gordie walking past our house and stopping to chat. He was always smiling and offering a good word if you had a problem. His smiling face will be missed by many neighbors.

The world and all of us in it are the poorer now that Gordon is gone.

I first met Gordon in the 80’s. The 1st Marine Division Association wanted to start a local chapter in the Portland area. Gordon volunteered to organize a chapter and to be its founding President.
