Not sure what to say?

Father Gordon,

Thank you for your many prayers and masses over the years. It was an honor to have known you.

Uncle Gordon, we will miss you greatly! Our family loves you, and pray God welcomes you into his arms. Thank you for your dedication to our faith, and for your shining example and inspiration to us in our times of trouble and joy.

As a graduate of St. Bonaventure University I am well aware that it is the dedication and commitment of the Franciscan Friars that makes it an exceptional place of learning. I did not have the good fortune to have Father Murphy as an instructor, but I had the privilege to know him over the last 30 years. He was a devout and committed priest who enthusiastically epitomized the Franciscan spirit.

Rev. Murphy,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
