Dr. O was like the Carl Sagan of my generation. in the 6th grade we went to the MVHS planetarium....what great outing. about 60 yrs ago and i remember clearly (can still pick out the constellations he showed us)! just a great "show" by a remarkable man. Thank you Doc...you made my life better. God's speed on your journey....

He was one of my favorite teachers at Mount Vernon High School. I still remember his biology class. I learned so much. My condolences to his family.
