Not sure what to say?

This is Gordon and me in 1985 at his Houston home following a weekend Deep Gulf fishing trip. I'm holding a beheaded 35 lb. King Mackerel while Gordon has two Mahi Mahi.

I was unaware of my longtime friend Gordon Otto's passing until today. At least a dozen times during the 1980s I went Deep Gulf fishing on the boat that was co-owned by Gordon and his friend Dr. Rudi Freund of Texas A&M. Taking off from Freeport, each time it was a memorable experience, even though I didn't really like to eat King Mackerel. They were just fun to catch. Gordon and Rudi were quite the odd couple--while Rudi was rather short-tempered, Gordon was so laid back. As smart and...

I didn't know him well because he was older than me, but did know his father, my uncle Henry and his brother Byron. Great family. Martin Otto [email protected]

Sorry to hear about Gordon.Had science courses together at Austin High. Living here in Aiken SC, I should have looked him up.

Gordon was my B.I.L. for many years. He was the brother I never had,and such a special part of our lives. Loving memories always.

I am glad to have called him a friend. We shared many a story about Greece and working on his boat.

In loving memory of my father. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his love for fishing and boating. Love you Dad. Rest in peace.

We will miss talking to Gordon on his tractor. He was a great neighbor.

I had him at Winthrop and he was a wonderful professor and person. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.
