Not sure what to say?

When we moved to Lapeer in 1980, Perkins Flower Shop (adjacent to our backyard on N Main) Mrs Perkins sent us a bouquet of flowers with a note that said "Welcome to our little neighborhood, our little family." Gordy was the one who delivered it to us. We were friends from then on. We are still enjoying your Mom´s old yard fountain that you brought to us when you closed the flower shop. Thanks for being our friend all these years. Rest easy Gordy. Love to your family. John, Cal and...

Gordy was a neighborhood brother growing up on Lincoln st. In Lapeer next to Mike Supernault who lived next to John Dorland across the street from Bill Freeman 3 houses south of Mike Schaaf. I remember when his brother, Jerry and Gordy made a Spike Jones band by filling pop bottles with different amounts of water and hanging them on a line hung between 2 step ladders adding their horns from the high school band. I have a picture of it and them. RIP Gordy.

I had the honor of meeting Gordy on a few occasions while living in Port Huron and managing the DoubleTree Hotel owned by John, Amanda, and partners. Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with each of you that mourn his loss.

I am so sorry to hear of Gordy`s passing. He was so kind and had a heart of gold. I always enjoyed talking to him. Sending love and peace.

Norma and Family, We are so sorry for your loss. Gordy will be fondly remembered as a wonderful neighbor who never hesitated to help others. He always had a friendly wave and was fun to talk to. We will always be grateful for his help with the driveway and for the time he towed us out after our car sank into the mud. He will be greatly missed. Please let us know if you need anything. The Ada Boyd Family (Clint, Yolanda, Wren and Alex) and South African Boyds (Rob and Ann)

Sorry to hear of Gordon's passing. Treasure the memories from the Lapeer Kiwanis Club and the Kapers. May he rest in peace and God wrap his loving arms around his family during this time.
