Not sure what to say?

Abby and Family,
A belated expression of sympathy is extended to all of you upon your recent loss. We remember "Dutchie" with many happy memories growing up in Windsor, CT; especially the get togethers after the baseball games at Cozy Corner. He was among the first (along with me, Dick Evans,) to graduate from the new Windsor High
School, Class of 1953. "Dutch" was an exceptional, talented and fun loving individual who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Carol Evans...

Dear Abby, Shiela and family,

I was so sad to hear about Gordie's passing. I'll always remember how Gordie made me feel like a part of your family when I was living alone in West Palm Beach, far away from my family in Pennsylvania. Especially the time when you all put me and my cat Cuddley up during hurricane Andrew... I still remember riding out the storm with all those cats (I think there were at least 6!) and people in the house...playing cards and listening to the wind outside! ...

When I was in 9th grade at PBGHS my science teacher ask everyone in the class to bring in a guest speaker. I asked Roycee if he could speak to the class about what he did out at Pratt. He came into my classroom with stories and photos of aircrafts and even a model of a rocket. He took up the hour answering questions. He was such a great guy. He was the heart of the neighborhood. And I don’t think of the Royce family so much as neighbours but as family. You don’t see many places like...

To the Royce family our deepest
sympathy. So meny memories of an
old friend... A childhood friend
and a classmate. The memories of
Gordy will be with us always.

In 1979, ten seconds after the moving truck pulled into our new driveway the Royce family walked into our lives. I have so mny wonderful memories of Roycee... Softball, pool parties, cookouts, horseshoes and lets not forget the peeping Tom's...the list goes on.

Abby, Rachel, Amy, Shela, and Kathy you are all in my prayers and Roycee you are always in my heart.

Mr. Royce was like the neighborhood Dad for all of the kids. The previous poster was right about the tossing in the pool! "Jaws" was one of Gordie's favorite pool games! When you got caught by the legs he would lift you up high in the air and give you a toss! We all loved it and him so much!
Rachie,
The countless sleepovers and playing in the pool made growing up so much fun. We all had so many good times together and I am so sorry to hear of this loss. Gordon Royce is a part of...

Dear Amy and Family,

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. My thoughts are with you!

Abbey, Gord was a wonderful person and a great neighbor. He always had a great smile and just looking at it made me feel good. He will be missed alot.

Dear Abby: I was saddened to hear about Gordon's death. As a former member of the Windsor High basebal team and manager of the basketball team -- and most of all as a wonderful person, I will always remember him as a close friend. Like Gordon, you as an old friend, will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
