I was very sorry to hear about Gordon's death. He was certainly one of the greats in our industry and had a well-deserved reputation for integrity and philanthropy. Gordon recruited me to my first venture-backed company and unflinchingly stood by me and the company through thick and thin. He had a great sense of humor and always managed to break the tension with a good story! Later in life, we crossed paths when I was Mayor of Woodside and tried to help with some issues.
