It is a joy to remember him and how he touched our lives. It is painful to know that we have only those memories now. My heart is with you for you loss.

I first met Gordon in 1989, when I was far from home and family at the Federal law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. As Becky's relative by marriage, I was invited to spend a weekend at their home. While I had no reason to expect any special treatment from Gordon, he went out of his way to make me feel welcome.
