I met Gordon only once at my son Don Atkins home. He was my sons best friend and I know my son will miss him greatly.
God bless you and your family at this most sorrowful time.

Dear Marcella:
I met Gordon at OSU (l969) in a Calculus class taught by a language challenged international educator. Both of us had to understand integration of the "chine" and "cochine" functions and "auto mat tickley"! Gordon was both a best friend and mentor. Being out of touch with him for too long a time, this loss is deep, sad,and personal. Thank you for contacting me.

He was my friend, or I should say my best friend to me from the day I met him. He was a man with unlimited knowledge and full of corks. I will miss him........
