I'm a friend from the early days. I knew Gordon in High School and we shared an apartment in Boston for a year. I remember Gordon as unusually talented and quirky. A premiere banjo and peddle steel player for sure!! I am saddened to learn of his death. Too early!

I first heard him on Phish's 1993 "Rift" album, and then saw him perform numerous times solo and as the Gordon Stone Trio during the mid-nineties.
