Not sure what to say?

Kathy,
Bob and I have so many fond memories of Gordan from St. Pauls. He was always one who spoke to you and always had a smile on his face no matter how bad he felt. I enjoyed so much singing in the choir with him while we were members of St. Pauls. we all worked to do our best. He was the best....The fact that he had a gift for music never made him think he was better than those of us who were not blessed with good voices. He will be missed by so many....Our son, George, was also...

I was shocked and saddened at the news of Gordon's passing. He has crossed my life many times...first, as the high school friend of my brother, Buddy; then, as an associate at the Mobile Press-Register. Also, our children went to school together, and we went to church together. He was indeed a very special person and will be so missed. My deepest sympathy to the Tatum family.

Gordon Tatum was one of my best friends at Murphy High School, and we had some great times together. He was a unique person, with a good sense of humor. The news of his death was slow reaching me in Atlanta, and I was very saddened. He will indeed be missed. My condolences to his family.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Kathy, Parrish and Andrew,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. I admired and enjoyed working with Gordon on numerous projects during all my years in Mobile. I know he will be missed by many.

Special people live forever in our hearts and memories. Mr. Tatum was so very special to so many people including my daughter, Kelli (Murphy Class of '93). He was so sweet and encouraging to her and we will remember him always for this. God blessed you with this dear husband, father and brother. How fortunate you were to have him. May precious memories comfort your family.

Kathy, Parrish and Andrew,

Barbara and I send our deepest sympathies to each of you. We only knew Gordon briefly as Parrish and Reid matriculated through college, but he made a lasting impression on both of us. We know his caring ways will be missed. He and each of you are in our prayers. Gerry and Barbara

Mrs. Kathy and Parrish:

You are in my prayers. I will always remember how happy Mr. Tatum was when he heard I wanted to attend Birmingham-Southern. Seeing his smiling face at a prospective student reception was like a beacon in the night. I consider myself blessed because I knew him. He was always so kind, and I will never forget how special he made you feel when he talked to you.
