Deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear father Gordon. I have but the fondest memories of Gord and Ida at our annual Christian Family Movement (CFM) get-together at my farm in Pontiac County, QC during the 1970s and early 1980s. God Bless both their souls.

My deepest sympathy to the Townsend Family. I was Mr. Townsend's secretary at the Canadian Transport Commission from 1971 to 1973. At just 18, he made a very positive impression on me and encouraged me to travel - which I later did. I have often thought of him and was heartened to learn that he enjoyed 95 happy years. No doubt he packed very many good things into every one of those years. It was a pleasure to know him. May he rest in peace.

We are saddened by the news of Gord's passing. We fondly remember many fun visits with him and Ida here in Ottawa and at their place in Amherstciew. They were both so interesting, full of life and interested in what others were up to.

Dear Family of Gordon,
I am saddened by the death of dear Gord. He and Ida were frequent visitors at the St. Joseph Provincial House in Amherstview, often at Mass, and we loved them and their visits. I offer you my sympathy at their loss. Wonderful friends!
