Gordon VanDomelen

Hats off to Mr. Van Domelen Just a few days before our 50th reunion for the class of 1962, I invited Mr. Van Domelen to join us. I remembered that he was quite young. It turns out that he was 79 but he said, in all those years, he had not once missed a class reunion to which he was invited. I was very pleased when he said yes. I did not personally know Gordon, but the day that he died, I received a voicemail that was a misdial, and was supposed to go to someone else, telling me that he passed away in his sleep. I cannot image how devastating this all was/is, and I'm sure he was a great man.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I spent a lot of time at the VanDomelen's house growing up. Jeff was one of my best friends and I have many great memories of both Gordon and Helen. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. Mike Ziegler

I enjoyed Gordy´s wit!! He and Helen were faithful volunteers at the Samaritan´s Kitchen. Was a sad day when they felt they were no longer physically able to serve. Appreciated them so much.

Mr VanDomelen was definitely my favorite teacher. I have remembered him fondly over the years. He was able to engage everyone when he taught. Rest in Peace. Prayers for you Mrs. VanDomelen and your entire family.
