Survived by wife Dorothy K.; children Jeanne Miller, Chris Wellens (Karl Auerbach), Steven Wellens, Doreen (Bill) Banks, Richard (Jane) Wellens, Martin Wellens, & Rob Wellens; grandchildren Jackie (Dustin) Johnson, Brent & Blake Banks, Kevin & Laura Wellens; great grandchildren Sam & Miles Johnson; brother Roy Wellens; sisters Dorothy Welter & Georgiana Alt. Catholic Memorial Mass Monday 10 AM at The Church of St. Bartholomew, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata. Visitation at church one hour before Mass. Dear Dorothy,
I just learned this terrible news from another State Farmer, and surely would have come to the funeral if I'd known. What a wonderful friend and mentor Gordy was for me. I owe so much to him. God bless you and all your family in this sad time.

I just read Gordy's obituary and want to send you my sympathy. I have not seen you since Bob and I left Burl Oaks, quite a few years ago. I pray God will strengthen you during this time of sorrow.
