Not sure what to say?

Father Yahner was an exceptional person and Priest. He was the Priest at Annunciation when I was young. He was so friendly and kind. I remember also running into him often as he was jogging in the park. I would jog with him. Later I moved away and years later I would write to him as a friend and he would write back with kind, caring letters. When I visited my hometown Id stop in to see him and I brought my children to meet him. He was a very kind-hearted person. I will miss him immensely....

Our continued sympathy!

Sincerely,

I was Father Yahner's first sick call as a priest on December 31, 1963. I was three days old and had about a thirty percent chance of surviving emergency surgery. We stayed friends for a very long time.

I came from a troubled home and was downcast and sad most of the time. That is when I saw him, He was raking leaves in front of the Rectory and as I past by he called me over to the fence. He asked me my name and put the rake down and crouched down to eye level to talk, He was wearing blue jeans and black shirt with his white collar and I thought to myself he...

I remember Fr. Yahner ice skating at Winterhurst (outdoor) rink in Lakewood, Ohio with us. He was a wonderful priest at St. Coleman's and an amazing skater! God bless him.

I went to St. Colman's as a child. I remember Fr. Yahner as a "cool" priest who would talk with you about anything. RIP, good man!!!

It was our privilege to have Reverend Father Yahner as our Golden Jubilee Celebrant and, in fact, to celebrate our Golden Jubilee of Religious Profession in the same year, 2013, that Father Yahner celebrated his fifty years of his sacred ordination. The symbols that he chose for himself at his Golden Jubilee - the Pruning Shears, the...
