I'm sorry to hear about Gosta's passing. He gave me my very first job in the early 1980's while I was still in high school. I worked part time every day after school and filled in for his full-time assistant when she took vacations. I remember his booming laugh and how he loved telling humorous stories in his own special way. He was one of a kind and have many fond memories of working with him.

He regaled us with tales of local sites, interesting island characters, and his own quilted stories from a life that seemed to contain many lives. We still reminisce about him and the amazing San Juan home he loved, which also had its own stories for him to share. Sending love and wishes for peace to...
