Governor Roemer

THANK YOU!
Your journey in this life led you across many paths and I am very grateful that it intersected mine. I remember when you visited my high school, Booker T. Washington here in Shreveport, La. in 1977-1978 school year and spoke at our junior/senior assembly in our auditorium. You probably never knew how many minds and lives you encouraged, motivated, and cheered on with that one visit; I was one of them. You had so much enthusiasm and vision for our...

Governor Roemer,

THANK YOU!!!
You made very important contributions to this journey called life, not only in Shreveport, but on the many roads that led out of our town and back. Your courage, determination and hard work is truly appreciated.

I remember back in 1977-1979 that you visited my high school, Booker T. Washington High School on Milam Street here in Shreveport and spoke to us in the auditorium. You never knew the many young minds and lives that...

My goodness, my best to Buddy's family Chas, Caroline and Dakota, to all the grandchildren I never met but know were loved dearly by Buddy...His siblings, many many close friends...So many thoughts, so many stories...so many Friday lunches at Scopena with Mr. and Mrs. Roemer, Skippy Shirley and others...so many power naps in the offices in the Slattery Building...dinners at the governors mansion...his passing is our loss and as a faith filled people we all no his passing is his gain! Margaret and the Roemer family. I am so sorry to hear of Buddy's passing. He was a good friend to me for many years. Bubby loved Louisiana and especially Bossier Parish just like I do and I admired the fact that he was touchable to so many people. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It was a great pleasure knowing you and now you get to be with your heavenly father. We all hope to see you again.....R.I.P.

Melinda and Michael,
"Louisiana Weeps"...simply put and spot-on. We were lucky to have him on our side. The great state of Louisiana has indeed lost a great one. My best to the family and please give my regards to Laurence.

Caroline, Chas and Dakota,
Was sad to read the news about your dad the other day. He was a special man that helped a lot of people. I will be praying for Gods peace and comfort for your families during this difficult time.
