Mrs. Culver will always have a special place in my heart. I was very fortunate to have had her as my "kindergarten" teacher before kindergarten was in the public schools. I have vivid pictures in my head and heart of the classroom; her soft, kind voice and gentle mannerisms; the workbook we did with ladybugs house on fire; the trip to the Indian cave and many more. Judy and Blair,
Your mother and grandmother has been an inspiration to me. I teach 4 and 5 years olds at Church and frequently feel inadequate. I've often marveled as I think back on her patience and the ability she had to make each child feel important, while maintaining control of her classroom. They were different times. David and Judy...So Sorry to hear about Grace. But to me, she was my kindergarten teacher. With her little play house in the back yard where we all played with the pots and pans and ran around till we were wore out! I will always remember that! God bless "Mrs. Culver" and all of you.
