At 65 I don't remember anything about my early years in school except Grace Ehlenbach. The first person to ever make me feel good about myself with her

Mrs.Ehlenbach was my grade school teacher at 67th St School. I am now planning on retiring as a registered nurse and have always remembered Grace as one of my favorite teachers. Perhaps because as a young student I imagined there was a kinship as my middle name is Ellen, and she had to gently correct me that I did not spell my name with an H as she did. Teachers make such an impact in children's lives and most impacts they do even realize. Part of her legacy will live on as my daughter...
