Connie Cate just told Diane about Gracie's going home and of course it was a surprise to us. We certainly would have been there if possible, but I was tromping around Asia for three weeks during that time.

What a great Lady, Gracie was, and such an example for all of us Sunday School and T.U. kids and she set the standard for what a Christian should be. My pleasant memories of her have been with me through the years and I have often wanted to go...

My heart goes out to you in the loss of your mother. Even though we know they are in a much better place, it's still hard to part with someone as dear as our mothers. May God grant you peace and comfort during this time.

Words cannot fully express the love that was displayed by this precious lady. The love for her family, friends, her church and most of all for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was evident in her faithfulness and her daily walk. Her last words to me were "I want to go home" and now God has granted her request.

I will always remember her as "Gravel Gurdy" and the way that she and "Vicious Vauches" would carry on in spirit of love as husband and wife. Both were role models for...
