My father and mother, Frank and Dana Beatty, of Abbeville, Louisiana spoke fondly of the Rev. Dan Goldsmith and his wife Grace. I think that the Rev. Dan's Abbeville church was his first pastorate. My father was on the Session at the time he was called, and spoke of Dan and Grace with much love and respect. I grew up hearing my father quote frequently from Dan's sermons, even long after he had moved on to another church. Blessings from God to them both. Florence Beatty Wallace.
