Grace Hoglund Obituary - Death Notice and Service Information

One year has passed since Grace Victoria Hoglund, born March 18, 2010, in Grand Rapids, entered Heaven on August 20, 2024. Her bright spirit, a true reflection of her name meaning "blessing," continues to shine. Grace was a gift whose contagious smile and laughter charmed everyone. Her journey was marked by immense courage, facing hospital stays and chemotherapy with remarkable strength. She found joy in simple moments: snuggles with her dogs, cuddles with loved ones, a fresh manicure, or little treats from Sephora and Starbucks. With wisdom beyond her years, Grace prepared us for what was to come and on May 26, 2024, she chose to be baptized at home, reflecting her enduring faith. We miss and think of Grace every moment of every day, just as we promised we would. The support we received throughout her illness was nothing short of miraculous. This support allowed us to remain by Grace's side, to hold her hand, to whisper words of love, and to pray over her until her very last breath. We were able to tell her she was utterly loved, that she was safe, that fear held no place, and that her Father in Heaven waited with open arms to welcome her home. Though her life was brief, Grace's memory is a precious legacy. We invite you to remember her with the radiant joy and enduring strength she embodied. Her life was a sacred gift, and we are eternally grateful for every moment.
