Grace Kline Maxfield

Grace was a very special to us. We enjoyed visiting with her when we were in Ann Arbor. Heaven will be a better place now that she is there. She has probably already started organizing things. She will always be a librarian. Don enjoyed taking his sister, Ruth, to see Grace's collections when Grace was living at Hillside in Ann Arbor.

My condolences to the Maxfield family. Grace was a lovely woman, filled with charming stories of her days in New York, Chicago and Ann Arbor. She would often tell me stories of her travels to follow the pilgrimage route of St. John, in Spain and France, as well as her everyday stories about 'Smoky' the cat. She was also a lady of collections, and proudly displayed her butter pat dish collection, with a winning ribbon from a 1950's Chicago hobby show! She searched in many antique shops...
