On what would have been our mamma's 96th birthday, March 6, George and I were talking about our dear sainted mother and many of the fond memories we have of her. What a righteous heritage she has left us and our family!

GiGi - I miss her, but I'm so grateful for the legacy she leaves in my mom, Fretta... Her prayers and love are missed and appreciated... She went home after praying a generational blessing over our first child, Caleb Dane Vanzant - what an honor!!! Love you grams!

I first met this Godly & vibrant lady 42 1/2 years ago - she was only 53. She was ever busy about the "Father's Business."
Her words of wisdom and her many prayers shall never be eliminated or forgotten - Mom left an indelible mark on my life - it changed the way I responded to life's ever-changing situations. Her influence is still being felt in the lives of hundreds of people, many who call, write or email me weekly saying how thankful they are to Jesus, for bringing Sister Murrell...

Mother, I still miss you even though I wouldn't bring you back with your body so worn out. Your mind was so keen and you were such a good mother. I especially miss you on Saturdays when I always called you, and on times when I am either very happy or very sad. I shared my joys with you and my heartaches so you would pray. I want to be your kind of mother. Thank you for modeling for me.

Gramma Murrell; I think of her often and how she encouraged me when I was only 17 with a new baby to care for and no skills to speak of. She didn't "baby" me she gave me loving instruction on how to get on with my life and raise my baby with God's help. My baby is 34 years old now with children of her own. Gramma Murrell touched so many lives and allowed God to work through her to help us all. Love you always Gramma Murrell, Connie.

I've been thinking alot about "Gram" lately, still hard to believe that I can't call her and plan a lunch get together.We'd go to Hometown Buffet or Sizzler. We'd sit and "gossip" as Gram would say. She was a wonderful Grandmother and she knew the importance of a Grandmother. My first memories of her, age 4 or so I remember asking her what there was to eat and she answered "anything you want". Mother has been gone a long time now - 6 months. Every time I visit a nursing home I leave thanking God that Mother did not have to move to one. God was so good to us children to let her go directly from her beloved BayPark to the gates of Pearl. But because some do not have that privilege, I want to visit them and love them on behalf of Grace E Murrell and our Savior Jesus Christ.
