Obituary

ROUNTREE, Grace M., of Richmond, passed away June 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; her son, Timothy; and her sister, Lorraine M. Shackleford. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Joan; nephew, John Shackleford and wife, Connie; four grandchildren and numerous family members. Grace was a graduate of John Marshall High School and received a Bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary. She retired from Sun Trust Bank after 40 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church, Richmond. She will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends Wednesday (today) from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., and where services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

I know everyone who knew Grace is very sad to hear of her passing. Yes, she was a fabulous lady in everyway. What charm and "grace" she had. Her name certainly fitted her. She always had a kind word, along with a wonderful smile. I always loved to see what jewerly she was wearing (and she knew how to wear it). She will be missed by alot of people. Everyone along Main Street knew her. May God Bless her family and friends as they morn the loss of a "Fabulous Lady".
