Grace T. Starner, 85, formerly of Pen Argyl, passed away, Friday, July 29, 2016, at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late John Starner, Jr., who passed away, February 1, 2007. Born in Bangor, July 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Carrer) Massi. Prior to retiring, she was a sewing machine operator for various garment mills in the Slate Belt Area. Grace was a 1949 graduate of Pen Argyl High School, where she was a majorette in the band. She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lehigh and New England Railroad. Grace enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and praying for people. Her home was always open for good food and conversation. She is survived by her daughter Christine J. Bugg and her husband Keith of Norristown, granddaughters, Adrienne Cavanaugh and her husband Cliff, and Taylor Baciocco and her husband Tom, great granddaughters, Madelyn and Abigail Cavanaugh, a sister, Andea' Maustakas and her husband John of Easton and a brother, Alfred Massi and his wife Eleanor of Bethlehem. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a visitation beginning at 10 AM until 10:45 AM, Saturday at the church. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
