I was blown away when I heard that you had left this place. When I met you through my brother "Dee" in ATL back in the early 90's you became my brother from that day on. Dear Dean, I only knew you for two days during a writers workshop here in LA. I was shocked and saddened by the news of your passing. I pray that your family finds peace in this time of grieving. Your input at the seminar was valuable, and from the words of Blake Snyder Inc., and in your memory, I will keep "beating it out".

Dean, my man, I only met you during the summer of 2006 when you shared with meyour new powerful, riveting book, Guerrillas In Midst. I remember the conversations where I would call all of my friends, etc, and you read over and over again, from your book, never getting tired or complaining. Dean, we go way back to Columbia North YMCA. You were a wonderful teacher and role model for the children. Your compassion and love for the children was prevalent. You will be missed but not forgotten.. Your with the Angels now...
