Not sure what to say?

Graeme credited me with starting his passion for the literacy project of West shore Rotary. Ok, but he took it beyond anything I would have imagined. Thousands of dictionaries have been given. And more this year, 2023. In the photo, he shares a light moment with other Rotarians at the Highland Elementary school

Wise, kind and courtly. That describes Graeme. I am richer for having known him and for calling him my friend.

What a nice, wise and charming man Graeme was. Interested in everything and everybody and on top gifted with a great mind to remember it all. We will miss him at our GSC, General Stevedoring Council meetings, which he continued to attend till a year ago and always spoke with great dedication and knowledge. Or thoughts and prayers go to Graeme and family, whom we wish strength. RIP

Dearest Esme and family. I was so saddene d to read of Graeme's passing. I knew him through the Harrisburg Civil War Round Table for many years and thoroughly enjoyed our many chats. Although it has been a few years,l I want you to know that I was blessed to have known him. He will be sorely missed by the HCWRT.

Dearest Esme, Kim and Rohan, Harleyn and I were saddened to hear that Graeme had passed. I feel so blessed to have crossed paths with Graeme. I enjoyed our working together and his good humor. He was a kind and humble person with a strong commitment of support for the Meat Industry. We are so thankful that we had a chance to get together this past fall. God bless you all and may Graeme find peace in his final resting place.

I am reminded of this story when I read that Graeme was listed in his obituary as an 'international meat trader.' Once when having lunch with him he asked how my wife and I travelled back to America from our position on the faculty of a Japanese university for forty years. I thought about describing our most extreme route to impress Graeme that we took a regular pleasure boat from Tokyo to the small town of Nakhodka in Siberia to catch a train to a large city to board the Siberian Railroad...

What a fine gentleman was Graeme. I knew him and Esme from the Harrisburg Civil War Round Table dinner meetings. He always had a smile and a kind word; I will miss seeing him.

Graeme was a generous friend for 30 plus years. He followed the up and downs of USA politics. We had lengthy discussions on how the USA was going, as well as the rest of the world, esp. Australia and Europe. We often met at the Camp Hill Presbyterian Church for a lunch and concert and the Scottish society meetings. I will miss Graeme very much, but his influence will continue well beyond my days.
