We have only just heard the news and would like to send our condolences to Graeme´s whanau. I first met Graeme on a Whanganu beach walk when working with Ridgway on the Summer Nature Programme. I was his TEC (Tail End Charlie) looking out for stragglers and Graeme breezed up to me in that good-natured genial way and began talking as if we were old mates. It took me a while for it to sink in because though they are identical twins, they are themselves too. I finally managed to put it together...

To our dear friend Graeme. Your life has been cut too short. Now just memories. I remember meeting you at Fiat in London,1978. The many long distance walks and the ski trip to Courmeyeur we did with you & Michele while we were both in the UK. Then back in NZ the different trips you organized- tramping, skiing & other trips as well as trips to the theatre, travelling through the Stans together and of course sharing each of our birthdays each year.
