Not sure what to say?

To the Spinks family...I just learned of Al's passing. He was a wonderful man. I worked with him on several committee's through the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council. I deeply sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your light!

I am late in getting to respond to this, in part because I was late in getting the notification for this. So I was not able to properly bid adieu to a man that I've had the pleasure of knowing, and admire very much. Thank you Sir for the many talks to help and coach me along this journey called life. As you have concluded yours, know that your legacy lives on. Godspeed.

To the Spinks family,

Al was my mentor in the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship. During our relationship, he always reminded me to follow what are called the Four Agreements: don't take things personally, don't make assumptions, be impeccable with your word, and always do your best. Those four simple guidelines have made a profound difference in my life; not solely by their own merit, but because they always remind me of the wonderful man who taught me their value. Hello I just heard of Al's passing and I send my sincerest condolences to you all. Al was my son Dylan's mentor in the University of Houston Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship and I had the good fortune of meeting Al on several occasions. He played a significant role in helping our son with the program and afterward as he contemplated career choices. I wish Al God's peace and eternal rest.

Mr. Spinks, we had such great times as young girls going over to your house, and having sleepovers with Jessica! You were such a wonderful person! Such a wonderful father to my wonderful, beautiful friend Jessica and All your children. My parents send their condolences, as they knew you as this loving father as well. My parents use to drop me off at your house. Thank you for always allowing us to have our sleep overs there! And never being upset that we girls got rowdy! Haha! You were the...

Al and I became friends many years ago. He was an ex Marine and I was ex Navy. I mentioned to him the Marine Corp. was part of the Navy. He just looked and me and said yes that is true, but the Marine Corp. is in the Men's Department. We both got a big laugh out of that. I am saddened that he has gone on before us. I will see him again on the other side. Al loved his family. My prayers to the family.
