Grant Page

I had the pleasure of getting to know Grant on the film The Mango Tree.
We spent several weeks on the set and in a few Bundaberg Hotels.
He was a dead set good bloke, I heard a lot very funny and very interesting Mad Max and Mad Dog Morgan stories. It is a very fond memory and I was sorry to hear that he has passed.
He certainly had a full and interesting life,

RIP Grant, I have a lot of fine memory’s growing up, ya loved to scare me wen I lived with Joy and Michael, I will miss you both, no doubt you will both be running a muck up there, lost of love

Grant was my first portrait sitter. The painting was selected for the Portia Geach Potrait Prize. I was nervous but he made me feel at ease straight away with is interesting and amazing stories. I visited Grant on a number of occasions and the last visit Grant and I had a very deep conversation about life and I was blown away by his intelligence. I will miss our chats and also the amazing passionfruit that grows on his veranda and the lessons on how to eat them properly. Keep on pushing...
