Not sure what to say?

Miss you dad!

Palmer's books, all three, changed my understanding of Jesus, especially. His second book, "The Inescapable Jesus" became a favorite gift book to those I cared most about. A strong knowledge of Jesus like Palmer's is uncommon among Mormons, in my experience. I left the LDS church decades ago, but never lost my love of the Mormon people. Honesty, spirituality, kindness, excellent writing ability: all hallmarks of the author's books. Is a human more than his books? Of course! But his...

Whilst Grants insights will always be available to all of us in his writings and his interviews on YouTube, I have another reminder of his passing in that it happened on my 70th birthday. So, to his family and friends, and on behalf of my own army of truth-seekers, I salute the work and the memory of Grant Palmer. Thank you, wherever you are, hopefully as you believed, safe in the arms of the incomparable Jesus.

My name is David Rich and I live in Saint George Utah. I graduated from Brighton High School in 1986 and had Grant Palmer as my seminary teacher for LDS church history. He was the most honest and well liked teachers we ever had. I also read his book An Insiders View Of Mormon Origins. I think that Grant Palmer is one of the greatest Mormon intellectuals of our time. I'm very thankful for Grant Palmer's contribution to Mormon issues which served as a great support for me when leaving the LDS faith. I'm also thankful for his recorded interviews which hopefully will live on for many, many decades

Grant was one of my heroes. Not just for his books, but going to lunch with him a couple of times was a real treat! I had given him a small polished geode from the Utah west desert, I hope it makes it to one of his grand kids that love cool rocks! Cheers to a great man who lead an outstanding life!

A higher standard for truth than most.

To Grant's family: my husband first introduced me to your dad via a podcast. I thought, "I'd like to meet that guy!" Little did I know that I would have lunch with him twice, along with my spouse, after I had read his "Insider's View...." book. Then, I would be in a video, along with him, to help LDS transitioners investigate traditional Christianity. The first time he had lunch with us, he told us he had met with about 1500 people this way. That was a few years ago, so I don't know how many...

You can't take the sorrow out of death unless you take the love out of life.

You will be missed...RIP my friend!
